About Us

Care that honors your body and your story

At New Life Midwifery Services, we believe that pregnancy and birth are natural, powerful experiences — and that every person who carries a child deserves care that is both clinically excellent and deeply personal.

Our practice is rooted in the midwifery model: low-intervention, high-attention. We spend time with you. We listen. We explain options so you can make choices that feel right for your family.

Located in Chicago's North Side, we serve individuals and families throughout the city and surrounding communities. Whether you're newly pregnant or planning ahead, we're here to meet you where you are.

Our Approach

What makes midwifery care different

Midwifery care is built on a simple idea: pregnancy is not a condition to be managed — it's a life event to be supported. That philosophy shapes everything we do.

  • 01
Longer visits, real conversations Our appointments are built around your questions, not a checklist. You'll leave each visit feeling informed and heard.
  • 02
Low intervention, high awareness We default to the least invasive approach that keeps you and your baby safe — and explain every recommendation clearly.
  • 03
Continuity of care You'll know your provider. They'll know your history. That relationship builds trust when it matters most.
  • 04
Holistic perspective We consider your physical health, emotional wellbeing, and social context — because all of it affects your pregnancy.

Common Questions

What people often ask

Do you take insurance?

We accept a range of insurance plans and can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Please call us to confirm coverage for your specific plan before your first visit.

Where do I give birth?

Many of our clients choose to give birth in hospitals with our midwifery support. We can discuss birth settings — including hospital, birthing center, and home birth — during your prenatal visits so you feel confident in your plan.

Can I come in before I'm pregnant?

Absolutely. Preconception visits are a wonderful way to optimize your health before pregnancy. Whether you're trying now or thinking about it in the future, we're happy to help you prepare.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, and any relevant medical records if you have them. Otherwise, just show up — we'll guide you through the rest. Our goal is to make your first visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Do you see clients who want a high-risk or complicated pregnancy?

We provide care for low-risk pregnancies. If your pregnancy is considered high-risk, we'll work with your OB/GYN or maternal-fetal medicine specialist to ensure you receive coordinated, comprehensive care.
